Dr. Smith-Gonzalez is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. She graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009 and completed her Internship and Residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando. She also completed her Masters in Public Health at the University of South Florida in 2012. She completed her residency at Advent Health East Orlando in 2012. She is now Associate Professor of Osteopathic Medicine at Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2023. 
 
Following her residency training, she has served as an Urgent Care Physician at AdventHealth's CentraCare, and then opened her own independent osteopathic family practice in 2012. Since opening her practice she has continued to see patients at her Osteopathic Family Wellness Center in Orlando where she now has a total of 3 providers seeing patients for family medicine and osteopathic manipulation. She is proud to have built a primary practice where patients of all backgrounds feel welcomed and cared for regardless of “race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, weight, or veteran status” as stated on the website for her practice. 
 
She is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), The American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), the Osteopathic Cranial Academy (OCA) and The Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA). She served as president of the Florida Academy of Osteopathy (FAO) from 2020-2023 and continues to be an active board member of that organization. 
 
Before all this, Dr. Smith-Gonzalez was a private piano teacher with a masters degree in music and was a licensed massage therapist in FL. Dr. Smith-Gonzalez focuses on a comfortable, soothing approach to healing the whole person.
